Frumtak Ventures celebrated its annual Frumtak Ventures Day along with its portfolio companies and friends and colleagues from the investment community. It was an insightful and inspiring event filled with great conversations, keynotes, networking, and stories from successes and failures.

Fireside panelists Sara Rywe, entrepreneur Thor Fridriksson, and 50skills co-founder and CEO Kristjan Kristjansson discussed the challenges of fundraising.

Fireside panelists also included Tulipop co-founder and CEO Helga Arnadottir, Controlant CFO Gudmundur Arnason and Activity Stream co-founder and CEO Einar Saevarsson, who shared their learnings from the unexpected.

The day included an exclusive fireside chat with Andri Sveinsson on his view as the lead investor in Kerecis, the first Icelandic "Unicod" which just got acquired by Coloplast for $1.3 bn.

Founding partner Eggert Claessen, who recently retired, got recognition for his remarkable contribution to the Icelandic startup ecosystem with a standing ovation.
